Ruby has the most bizarre way of laying. If i am in the kitchen, she will have to lay right in front of the stove, sink, counter - which ever i am using. You literally have to slide her out of the way. Or, she will lay like the picture below when she is sleeping. The most twisted positions! 

When she wants to play with her toys, unlike most dogs who would sit/lay normally and play with it, this little miss will lay out her back, back legs right out, front paws up to her mouth, holding her toy and will play this way for ages on end!

It really is adorable (and some what annoying if it is in the kitchen!)

 

She also had a check up at the vets on her stitches. The nurse said it was a bit swollen from probably jumping around (ha, you keep this one still!) but other than that it looks really good and she could tell that she hasn't been licking them. Im so surprised. I thought she would but she hasn't at all! She goes back in a weeks time to get them out!

Ruby is becoming more affectionate with Ava. Just wish Ava was with her! Lately she jumps up ont he couch, squeezes herself into the smallest gap and rests her head on Ava.

Or, if there is no room, she will flake out in her usual position - on her back.

We found an old toy of Avas - giraffe. Soon as she got it years ago, she was trying to destroy it so we took it away. I found it the other day and i held it up in front of her. Her eyes got SO big. She knew what it was! Ruby wanted it too! Gave it too Ava and she ran off with it. It did not take her long to start destroying it again!

It's official, Ava can not drink milk in a clean and non messy way! Sam (aka 'Daddy') gave the left over milk from making a coffee. She flicked it everywhere, she didn't just have the milk moustache, she had it all over her face like snow!

Also, i couldn't resist. Ruby is so cute. She just had to have a bow!

The strangest Golden. A shaved one!

The most adorable moment. Ava flaked out on rug asleep. Ruby asleep on the otherside of the rug. Ruby wakes up and just gets up and goes over to Ava and lays down right next to her. Spooooooooning!

Love this moment.
Both were asleep- ava on the couch and ruby on the floor. Ruby woke up and came up for a cuddle then sat next to ava. Ava woke up and half sat up AND then..... Gave ruby a little lick on the nose while she sat next to her.

9.05.12 - Ruby

This little one just can't hack it!

When she lays down, she often falls asleep immediately. Lately she has a habit of going under this little stool to sleep.

It is exactly how Ava used to sleep, all doubled over on her back. Feels so strange seeing it again and from a distance you think Ava is a puppy again!
