Meet our new little girl!

Our new girl arrived today. Dad took me down to the airport. She arrived in a different location than Ava did. She hadn't been taken off the plane when we first arrived so we had a little bit of a wait. When i went back in, there was this huge pet cage sitting on the counter, with this tiny golden ball of fluff in it. The guy working there opened the cage and I pulled her out. She was (and felt) so tiny. Much tinier than Avey. As I came out, Dad had the camera ready for a few photos. She was very quiet and overwhelmed.

In the car journey home, she went from dozing off to looking around with this grin on her face. She looked happy. She felt so soft and cuddly. When she yawns she makes this little squeal sound. Very adorable. Dad went into the house first to say hello to Ava. I came through, carrying this little bundle. Ava went crazy! She seemed to be part excited but worked up about it all. She got so worked up she started to froth at the mouth, which went all over her face when she shook! She seemed very unsure but also mixed with excitement.

She stayed close by me for the day, with Ava coming by to see what it was every now and then. She didn't know what to make of it all! (So much for us thinking she will 'baby' her!).

Now comes the task to find this little one a name!

20.5.10 - Our Girl.

She arrived from Sydney by plane and landed at 12.45pm - but didn't come out until 1.30pm. As i walked in there she was quite as a mouse in a crate, looking so tiny. I carried her out to the car and gave her a chance to go to the toilet but no luck. She looked happy - not scared at all - didn't even shake/shiver. I gave her a cuddle for a little while and then placed her into a bucket in the back seat for her to sit in. She did one whimper and that was it, was silent the whole way. She kept dozing off but every time there was a bump she'd wake up.

Once we got home from the airport, i took her outside for a drink which she took a few sips and then dunked her front paws in!. This photo was taken about 10 minutes after we arrived home. Within 30 minutes later she was off exploring her new garden - not shy or timid at all!

She had a long day and was flaked out a few hours after arriving home. She is so fluffy! She looks like a little lamb!
